Who We are Looking for
- Bachelor of Laws or Equivalent, with a minimum of 1+ Year experience in Insurance Litigation to include Personal Injury/Debt Recovery/General Insurance Claims and Litigation
- Good understanding of the relevant legislation and processes
- Attention to detail and a proactive, solution-focused mindset
- Strong research and drafting skills and excellent written and communication skills
- Organised to be able to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to work independently and also within a team
- Contribute to a team effort to manage increasing caseloads efficiently
- Experience with LawMaster is highly regarded, but not essential
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the management of claims from lodgement to resolution
- Preparing case files, reviews and documentation for hearings and negotiations
- Supporting the Litigation team with the management of a key insurance client
- Supporting senior lawyers during client meetings, conciliation conferences and hearings
- Maintaining high levels of communication and communicating effectively with clients, colleagues and external stakeholders
