• Represent and advise clients – Engage in negotiations, mediations, and represent clients confidently in court.
• Mentorship & Collaboration – Mentor and guide junior lawyers while working closely with partners on innovative legal strategies.
• Diverse Clientele – Provide top-tier legal advice to a range of clients, from individuals to corporate entities, across various industries.

What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum 3 years PAE as a litigation lawyer, admitted to practice in Queensland.
• Independent case management – Proven track record of handling complex matters with autonomy and initiative.
• Exceptional advocacy skills – Strong experience in litigation strategy and representing clients in court.
• Excellent communication – You excel in client interactions and team collaboration.
• Desirable knowledge – Experience in body corporate matters is a plus.

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal or Legal Secretary to join the growing team at OMB Solicitors, based in Southport, Queensland. Reporting directly to the Partner of the Litigation Team, this is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in a collaborative and high-performing practice.

You’ll be at the heart of our litigation matters, providing crucial support to solicitors and contributing to the smooth and effective handling of a broad range of legal disputes.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft and edit legal correspondence, pleadings, affidavits, and court documents
• Maintain and organise electronic and physical case files
• Assist with discovery: collecting, reviewing, and organising documentation
• Provide day-to-day administrative support, including diary management and deadline tracking
• Conduct legal research and support the preparation of court materials
• Transcribe dictation with accuracy and efficiency
• Work closely with solicitors and support staff to ensure seamless file progression

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Litigation Paralegal or Legal Secretary (or similar role in a legal setting)
• Strong drafting skills and excellent written and verbal communication
• Highly organised, with proven time management and multitasking abilities
• Familiarity with legal research databases and the Microsoft Office suite
• Experience with LawMaster is highly regarded, but not essential
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive, solution-focused mindset
• Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
