Ava graduated from Bond University in 2023 obtaining a Bachelor of Laws specialising in Legal Practice.

Ava began her legal career at OMB Solicitors in March 2024 as a law clerk and was admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland as a Solicitor in June 2025. She was further entered on the Register of Practitioners in the High Court of Australia on 24 July 2025.

During her time at Bond University, Ava gained experience in one (1) role as a legal secretary at Tyndall & Co. and two (2) volunteer roles with Dib & Associates and YFS Legal. She shadowed a duty lawyer in the Beenleigh Magistrates Courts assisting Respondents to Domestic Violence allegations. Further, she was exposed to a range of criminal law matters and assisted one (1) of the principal’s at Dib & Associates in his case management.

Ava began at OMB Solicitors in the Commercial Litigation and Body Corporate teams, where she gained practical experience across various litigation and dispute resolution matters. Her work has included debt recovery, insolvency and bankruptcy proceedings, quasi-criminal matters, caretaking disputes, employment law, building litigation, and property and equitable disputes.

Ava has since transitioned into a role of Solicitor in the Family Law Team assisting Abbi Golightly, Accredited Specialist in Family Law and the Partner of the Family Law team here at OMB. She is passionate about assisting and navigating people through the Family Law system and strives to advocate for client’s and their interests at all turns.

Outside of work, Ava is avidly into health and fitness and enjoys challenging herself to differing forms of exercise, and spending time in the countryside – back to her roots in Northern NSW.
