Alexander Wood

Alexander was admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2023 after graduating with a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Tasmania in 2022.  He joined the OMB Solicitors team in July 2024 and has since worked predominantly in the areas of Body Corporate and Litigation.

With a particular interest in Body Corporate matters, Alexander has acted for a number of strata title schemes across both Queensland and New South Wales.  This includes schemes governed by the Body Corporate and Community Management Act 1997 (Qld), Strata Schemes Management Act 2015 (NSW), Building Units and Group Titles Act 1980 (Qld), South Bank Corporation Act 1989 (Qld) and company title arrangements.

He is experienced in assisting bodies corporate with a wide variety of matters including the assignment and variation of management rights, drafting and enforcement of by-laws, levy recovery, caretaking disputes, advisory work and litigation.

Outside of work Alexander enjoys playing cricket for the Mudgeeraba Nerang & Districts Cricket Club and supports West Ham United in the English Premier League.  He is also a keen follower of the Australian test cricket team.
