Aleena is a thoughtful and considered family lawyer who looks for areas of agreement when advising, caring for and guiding people experiencing relationship breakdown. She provides big picture, practical advice to my clients.
Always focused on generating options and analysing problems, Aleena sees more than one way to attain an outcome for her clients. Her ability to seek common ground means she is able to help her clients to consider the options and select the best alternative based on their own circumstances, and improve the quality of outcomes she assists in achieving for them.
With a genuine passion for family law, particularly in property matters for high and moderate net wealth clients with complex property pools, she has vast experience dealing with financial settlements. Aleena regularly assists people where there are intricate corporate structures, tax issues, self-managed super funds, and international assets involved. She also has a strong interest in, and considerable experience advising on, parenting issues, including complex cases where there are significant risk issues, including experience in Evatt list matters.
Having spent her foundational years as a lawyer working in a boutique generalist firm in Northern New South Wales, she has had broad experience in a number of related areas including estate litigation, estate planning, crime and domestic violence. As a result, she is able to identify related issues where they arise and take a holistic approach to issues experienced by the people she assists.
Aleena was admitted to the Queensland Supreme Court and the High Court in 2015 and has practiced exclusively in family law since then. She is a member of the Family Law Practitioners Association of Queensland (FLPA), the Queensland Law Society and the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia.
