Biography
With over 20 years’ experience, Chrissy relishes family law and prides herself on early resolution of matters by way of alternate dispute resolution should the opportunity arise. Chrissy has had experience in a vast array of matters and with her investment banking and finance background, can navigate not only complex but simple property settlements. This type of expertise allows financial scrutiny resulting in financial security for her clients and in turn assisting with what is in the best interests of her clients and children.
Chrissy’s own personal experience and understanding of the breakdown of a relationship and the resulting parenting and/or financial issues that follow allow her to relate to her clients as she personally understands the conflict, confusion, and emotional strain that separation can take on a person. By drawing on her broad range of personal and professional experience, she is able to provide clear and cost-effective advice to confidently guide you through what can often feel like a complicated and confusing legal system. Chrissy is mindful of the financial challenges that arise when attempting to resolve family law disputes and prioritises negotiation and alternative dispute resolution where possible. Chrissy is also a Nationally Accredited Mediator and is passionate about assisting clients to achieve the best possible outcome from their family law matter.
Being a complex and emotional period, separation requires an empathetic, experienced, and determined senior lawyer that will guide and inform you. Ultimately, the result will be that decisions are made with the proper guidance that provide instructions to resolute what may be such an emotional roller coaster.
Chrissy brings with her experience in a wide range of areas, including parenting matters, family violence cases, financial agreements, and complex property settlements. Her Degree in Law and Public Administration and Masters in Business Administration (MBA) provides her with valuable commercial and business knowledge that assists her with complex property cases along with her high level of attention to detail.
In her spare time, Chrissy loves to cook and enjoys long lazy lunches with family and friends, travel to exotic overseas destinations and getting through her “bucket list,” park play dates with her grandsons, regular trips to Tasmania to visit her parents, and spending time at the beach and boating.
